COURSE OBJECTIVE

Designed to help individuals meet state and federal requirements that are needed to work in Temporary Traffic Control industry which includes construction and utility work zones. Flaggers will learn general rulings, fundamental properties, and components of flagging based on current federal regulations using the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD) and state guidelines which, “defines the standards used by road managers nationwide to install and maintain traffic control devices on all public streets, highways, bikeways, and private roads open to public travel”.

Trainees will be equipped for immediate field work applying safety measures:

 

Instruction

5 hours safety 1st education and professional development.

OSHA 10 Hour

Construction industry online training – safety and health hazards in workplaces.

Field Training

80 Hours hands-on training in Temporary Traffic Control work zones.
